Medical Assistant Program

    The Medical Assistant degree program is designed to provide the students the knowledge and clinical skills for gaining entry-level employment in a medical facility in both administrative and clinical areas. Specific training is provided in preparing instruments and materials, and assisting the physician with exams and procedures. Computer skills, accounting and fundamentals of business operations will be developed to an advanced level.

    The student will be able to function independently with administrative duties, and computer functions of the office. Training is provided for such occupations that include, but are not limited to Medical Assistant, Lab Assistants or Office Lab Assistants (Phlebotomist), Medical Insurance Coder and Medical Secretary.

More than 15 years of experience teaching in Nursing, Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy Technician, Pharmacy Technician and Ultrasound Technician programs for Allied Health Professionals.

MA instructor at Heald College in California before joining CCNN.

She has 30 years of clinical experience in multiple specialties with an emphasis in 

neurology and neurosurgery as well as front office procedures.
